Job Requirements
- valid state-issued driver’s license
- brake inspection qualification as per FMCSA Section 396.25
- vehicle inspection qualification as per FMCSA Section 396.19
- ability to perform physical maintenance tasks
- compliance with company policies and safety regulations
- ability to communicate clearly and maintain accurate records
- willingness to learn and adapt to change
Job Qualifications
- valid state-issued driver’s license
- brake inspection qualified as defined in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations Section 396.25
- vehicle inspection qualified as defined in Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations Section 396.19
- effective communication skills both verbal and written
- ability to follow company and Department of Transportation guidelines
- basic knowledge of maintenance and repair procedures
- Microsoft Office proficiency (preferred)
- ASE certification (preferred)
- DOT transportation certification (preferred)
Job Duties
- perform inspections and preventative maintenance on Walmart equipment including trailers, tractors, yard trucks and shop equipment
- create and process work orders based on assessment of maintenance, repair and replacement needs
- repair and replace brake system components including air, antiskid, scam, ABS and disc brakes
- replace leaky wheel seals and dismount/install tractor trailer tires following company and DOT guidelines
- communicate verbally and in writing with customers, suppliers and associates
- complete work orders, records, logs and other documentation accurately
- receive and monitor fuel drops for safety compliance, conduct fuel sampling and complete necessary paperwork
