Job Duties

  • Perform inspections, perform preventative maintenance and repairs on Walmart equipment such as trailers, create and process work orders, assess maintenance and repair needs, identify needed parts and possible solutions, select the best possible solution, conduct maintenance and repairs including dismounting/installing tires, repairing flats, balancing tires, adjusting landing gear, replacing lights, and repairing trailer doors, follow company and Department of Transportation guidelines, seek approval for repairs performed by qualified shop technicians, communicate verbally and in writing with customers, suppliers, and associates, complete work orders, records, and logs according to procedures, receive fuel drops and conduct fuel sampling, monitor fuel drop to ensure safety compliance, follow procedures for fuel additives, monitor tank levels before and after the drop, collect and prepare fuel samples for analysis and shipping, complete appropriate paperwork, embrace diversity and respect individual differences, work as a team and build strong, trusting relationships, communicate with impact to motivate and influence others, help develop and mentor team members, maintain and promote integrity and ethics, act selflessly with humility and transparency, put customers first and deliver results, make informed decisions balancing short-term and long-term priorities, display curiosity and a desire to learn, drive continuous improvements, adopt new technologies and skills, support others through change
