Job Description

Core-Mark, a Performance Food Group Company, stands as a leading powerhouse in the convenience retail industry, operating as a crucial part of a Fortune 150 corporation that commands over $23 billion in annual revenue. Known for its vibrant culture of empowerment, Core-Mark fosters growth not only for its extensive customer base but also for its employees and the communities it touches. The company specializes in fresh and broad-line distribution solutions, providing a rich assortment of products, programs, and services through its numerous distribution centers across the United States and Canada. This expansive reach allows Core-Mark to sustain a pivotal role in the food and consumer goods supply chain, focusing on delivering value, reliability, and innovative solutions to its convenience retail customers.

As part of their ongoing growth and commitment to excellence, Core-Mark is urgently hiring Class A Drivers at all experience levels, embracing a broad talent pool keen on joining a dynamic team. This full-time, Monday through Friday position offers competitive pay, beginning at $29.50 per hour during training and transitioning to a pay structure that compensates for every stop, load, and mile. Successful drivers can expect to earn between $80,000 and $100,000 in their first year, underscoring the lucrative nature of this essential role.

Working as a delivery driver for Core-Mark means playing a fundamental role in America's food distribution system. These drivers are entrusted not only with ensuring that food products and services reach customer locations safely and punctually but also with representing the company’s values and commitment to customer satisfaction. The role involves much more than driving; it is about building long-lasting, respectful relationships with customers and contributing to a supply chain that supports communities nationwide.

Core-Mark offers a safe and inclusive work environment that values reward, recognition, and mutual respect among its team members. Employees benefit from Day 1 Health & Wellness coverage, participation in an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, 401K Employer Matching, Education Assistance, and Paid Time Off, all designed to promote well-being and professional growth. The company promotes growth opportunities, encouraging drivers to develop their skills and advance within the organization.

Key responsibilities include performing detailed safety inspections and DOT compliance checks on trucks and trailers, managing loading and unloading operations, and ensuring accurate documentation and customer signature collection. Drivers must adhere to federal and state regulations, maintain equipment security, and provide excellent customer service to represent Core-Mark positively. This role demands physical dexterity, technical knowledge of trucking and delivery protocols, and the ability to navigate pre-set routes efficiently while managing time and logistics effectively.

In joining Core-Mark as a Class A Driver, candidates commit to essential work that sustains and enhances a complex food distribution network, contributing directly to the health and convenience of communities across North America. This opportunity combines rewarding compensation, meaningful work, and comprehensive benefits within a stable and forward-looking company environment.
