The role of the Unit Manager - RN at Genesis Healthcare involves a critical leadership position within the nursing center management team. The successful candidate will be accountable for the delivery of cost-effective and high-quality health care on their assigned nursing unit while achieving positive clinical outcomes, patient and family satisfaction, and employee engagement. As a Unit Manager - RN, you will collaborate closely with the Director of Nursing to maintain adequate nursing coverage to provide safe and effective patient care. You will participate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate plans to achieve patient goals and minimize rehospitalizations. A significant aspect of the position involves mentoring and educating nursing staff, working with physicians and other medical professionals, and acting as a resource for all unit staff concerning the quality of care delivered. Additionally, you will oversee medication management to guarantee adequate supplies and ensure all medications are handled according to Genesis Healthcare policies. This role also requires providing direct patient care alongside other nurses to maintain clinical skills and contribute hands-on to patient outcomes.

This position is full-time and offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from USD 42.00 to USD 45.00.
