This particular opportunity is based at the Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences, a groundbreaking wellness community located in Southeast Florida. Amrit is a first-of-its-kind five-star personalized luxury wellness destination situated on 7.5 acres of oceanfront property. The resort blends ancient Eastern wellness philosophies with modern Western technology to create a unique, personalized experience that promotes mindful living and holistic wellness. Amenities at Amrit include 182 wellness residences, 153 wellness resort suites with 30 destination spa suites, chlorine-free pools, a natural bistro with a teaching kitchen, a farm-to-table restaurant, event space, and a full-service hair and health salon. The wellness and spa area spans 100,000 square feet indoors and outdoors, featuring an extensive hydrothermal circuit, hammam, flotation pod, and panoramic ocean-view terraces. The role of Host/Hostess at Tula Restaurant within the Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences is a pivotal position responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring that guests receive exceptional service throughout their dining experience. As the first point of contact, the Host/Hostess is tasked with promptly greeting and seating guests in an efficient and friendly manner. The role also involves assisting servers and cashiers by facilitating smooth transactions, including handling payments and managing tip distribution when necessary. The Host/Hostess ensures quality control of menus, properly takes reservations, maintains knowledge of service standards, and supports overall guest satisfaction. This position demands excellent communication skills, a strong service orientation, and the ability to handle multiple duties such as opening and closing sidework and adherence to state liquor laws. Candidates should be flexible, capable of working long hours, and able to stand for extended periods. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in hospitality or customer service preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds
- Strong communication skills

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
- Flexible and able to work long hours sometimes required
- Ability to exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 pounds frequently or constantly
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Effective verbal and written communication skills with all levels of employees and guests
- Ability to listen to, understand, and clarify concerns raised by employees and guests

Job Duties
- Greet and seat guests at appropriate tables in a timely manner
- Be attentive to guests' needs and assist in providing a pleasant dining experience
- Assist cashier in collection of money or credit cards from guests and servers as needed
- Know how to prepare cashier report at the end of the shift
- Pay out servers' and service attendants' tips if appropriate
- Know how to properly take reservations for outlets
- Ensure quality control of menus with regard to cleanliness and appearance
- Perform opening and closing duties according to established sidework checklist
- Have a complete knowledge of standards of service for receiving a room service order
- Have a thorough knowledge of menus and current specials in all applicable departments
- Assist servers and cashiers in the servicing of guests as needed
- Know and understand the state liquor laws
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
