This job opening is for full-time Local Class A CDL Truck Drivers based in Charlotte, North Carolina, working under Penske Logistics LLC. The role is local with a schedule from Monday through Friday, ensuring drivers return home daily. Candidates can expect to operate late-model Penske-maintained trucks, equipped with best-in-class specifications designed for comfort and safety, including inward and outward-facing in-cab cameras.
In this role, drivers will perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies specifically to automotive dealerships. Each week, drivers make approximately 25 delivery stops, handling products using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages. Scanning products during unloading ensures accuracy and accountability. The dispatch start time is around 11:50 PM, with routes ending early morning around 8:20 AM. Drivers are essential to maintaining Penske’s reputation for excellent customer service and timely deliveries while fostering strong relationships with their accounts.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Class A CDL
- Current or ability to obtain non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- Minimum 1 year tractor-trailer experience in last 3 years or 2 years in last 5 years
- Clean DMV/MVR record with limited violations
- English language proficiency
- Ability to work specified schedule and location
- Completion of employment application
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and occasionally up to 100 lbs
- Ability to operate motor vehicle safely
- Ability to frequently enter and exit vehicle and cargo area
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Currently hold or ability to obtain a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- Minimum 1 year of documented tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years or 2 years in the last 5 years
- 3 years DMV/MVR record with two or fewer moving violations or accidents
- Proficiency in English
- Ability to work required schedule and location
- Pass background investigation and drug screening
- Commitment to safety and alertness
Job Duties
- Perform multi-stop deliveries of parts and supplies to automotive dealerships
- Unload trailer using manual pallet jacks, hand trucks, and rolling cages
- Use scanner to scan products as they are unloaded and delivered
- Complete approximately 25 delivery stops per week
- Operate late model Penske maintained trucks equipped with in-cab cameras
- Maintain safety and compliance with DOT regulations
- Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships with clients
