The role of Truck Driver CDL A in Lexington, KY, presents an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking a dynamic and engaging position within this leading beverage company. As a local UDS Driver, you will be responsible for delivering products to small retailers on established routes. Unlike many driving roles, this position emphasizes customer interaction, manual unloading, and product stocking. You will be using equipment such as hand dollies to unload trucks manually, build rapport with customers, and stock shelves and coolers according to customer requirements. No previous driving experience is necessary as comprehensive hands-on training is provided from the outset. This role is perfect for individuals who enjoy remaining active and prefer spending time off the truck interacting with customers rather than hours behind the wheel.
The position operates Monday through Friday, starting at 5:00 am until the route is completed, with flexibility needed to work overtime and weekends as required. Local routes are a key feature, meaning drivers return home daily. The role involves the use of various equipment including tractor trailers, semi-pups, box trucks, and trailers ranging from 28 to 53 feet, as well as specialized equipment like pallet jacks, lift gates, and hand trucks.
Ideal candidates are self-motivated, customer service-oriented, and capable of working in a fast-paced environment. Physical endurance is essential as the job includes lifting, pushing, and pulling cases weighing a minimum of 50 pounds repeatedly. The company pays a competitive hourly wage of $26.90, with additional benefits subject to eligibility and collective bargaining agreements. These benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability coverage, paid time off including vacation and sick leave, a 401k plan with company matching, tuition reimbursement, and mileage reimbursement.
Joining Keurig Dr Pepper means becoming part of an innovative and growth-driven company that values diversity and inclusiveness.
