The role of the Traveling Chef within Oak View Group is a critical and rewarding position. The Traveling Chef is entrusted with actively supervising, coaching, counseling, directing, training, and mentoring employees to meet and exceed company quality standards. This leadership role requires strong management skills, independent decision-making capabilities, and a dedication to fostering a positive, harmonious, and compliant work atmosphere. The Traveling Chef plays a key role in ensuring the smooth and profitable operation of the hospitality aspect of live events across a variety of venues. Chefs in this role enjoy flexibility by being able to accept or decline each assignment; however, once an assignment is accepted, they are expected to fulfill all required shifts during support. Adaptability is essential, along with excellent attendance and availability to work a variable, event-driven schedule, which often includes evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding interpersonal skills, professional presentation, self-direction, and the ability to make independent management decisions while working in diverse environments. Remuneration for this role is competitive, with an hourly wage ranging from $20.00 to $24.50, plus tips.
