Job Requirements
- One year of recent telemetry RN experience
- Current valid RN license as per state regulations
- Current BLS certification
- Current ACLS certification
- Ability to interpret telemetry data and cardiac rhythms
- Strong critical thinking and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in English reading and writing
- Physical ability to perform duties including moving equipment
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail
- Willingness to adhere to hospital safety and infection control protocols
Job Qualifications
- One year of recent experience as a telemetry registered nurse
- Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
- Current ACLS certification
- Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) certification preferred
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Other certifications and licenses as required by position
Job Duties
- Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data to detect abnormalities and respond appropriately
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments with focus on cardiac care
- Prepares equipment and assists physician during cardiac-related procedures
- Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients
- Observes patient and notifies supervisor or physician of cardiac status and response to interventions
- Responds to life-saving situations following nursing standards and cardiac emergency protocols
- Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned telemetry patients
- Initiates patient education plans focused on cardiac health and lifestyle modifications
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive telemetry care
- Maintains confidentiality of patients and client
- Adheres to hospital safety protocols and infection control guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned within scope of practice
