The current opportunity is for a Travel Nurse Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) care, located in Worcester, Massachusetts. This travel nursing position is a 13-week assignment starting on July 29, 2026, and involves working 36 hours per week during night shifts of 12 hours each. The role demands a highly skilled ICU/CCU nurse who is adept at managing complex and life-threatening patient conditions requiring intensive therapies and interventions. The nurse will be responsible for delivering critical care, closely monitoring patient vital signs, managing life support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes, administering medications, and providing support and education to patients and their families. Job Requirements

  • Active RN license
  • Degree from accredited nursing program
  • BLS and ACLS certification
  • Eighteen months of recent experience in an Acute Care ICU setting
  • Other requirements to be determined by our client facility

Job Duties

  • Provide patient care as well as education and support to the patient's family
  • Ensure proper functioning of life support equipment such as ventilators and feeding tubes
  • Observe the patient's heart rate, blood pressure and respiration for signs of distress
  • Administer medication, IVs, and insert catheters as needed
  • Meticulous documentation of medication administration
  • Assist in emergency nursing procedures necessary for prompt control of changes in patient’s physical condition
  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation accurately and effectively
