Job Description
Stability Healthcare is a leading travel nursing agency established in 2009 with the dedicated mission of becoming the premier provider of travel nursing services, especially recognized as one of the top agencies in California. With a strong reputation for offering highly competitive pay rates and access to thousands of travel nursing assignments across the United States, Stability Healthcare connects registered nurses with diverse and rewarding opportunities in some of the best hospitals and health systems nationwide. Their extensive network allows nurses to experience various regions of the country, enjoying unique regional lifestyles and healthcare environments, such as sunny California, the Rocky Mountains, the Midwest, the Northeast, and Florida. The company prides itself on its commitment to nurse satisfaction, offering comprehensive benefits and support to ensure a positive employment experience.
The current opportunity is for a Travel Nurse Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Direct Observation Unit (DOU) at a facility located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This is a contract position with a 13-week duration, offering a chance to work 40 hours per week on night shifts consisting of 8-hour rotations. The Direct Observation Unit is a critical area where patients who require observation but do not need full inpatient admission are closely monitored, often bridging the gap between emergency care and inpatient services. Nurses working in this unit must provide high-quality care with vigilant attention to detail, responding promptly to changes in patient conditions while maintaining effective communication with the healthcare team.
This role is perfectly suited for an adaptable nurse who enjoys the dynamic nature of hospital settings and is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care while working independently during overnight hours. Stability Healthcare offers a competitive compensation package for this role which includes a $600 travel bonus, a day-one health insurance plan through United Healthcare, and a paid time off (PTO) accrual system that begins immediately, allowing nurses to use accrued PTO during the contract or cash it out at the end. Additional benefits include a guaranteed stipend in the event of being called off from the facility and an extra hourly bonus for any hours worked beyond the contracted 40 hours per week.
This assignment provides an excellent opportunity for nurses looking to expand their clinical skills in a med-surg environment with patients requiring close observation after critical care or surgery. The position emphasizes clinical excellence combined with flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Overall, this travel nurse RN DOU role with Stability Healthcare offers not only a rewarding clinical experience in Oklahoma City but also a rich cultural and professional experience facilitated by a supportive agency known for valuing its nursing professionals. This position is part of Stability Healthcare's broader commitment to enabling nurses to explore new healthcare environments while supporting their career growth and personal wellbeing through comprehensive benefits and flexible assignments.
