The role available is for a Travel Nurse Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in the Preoperative discipline, based in Salem, Oregon. This is a travel nursing opportunity designed for a dedicated and compassionate professional ready to take on a 13-week assignment starting August 10, 2026. The position requires working 40 hours per week, spread across four 10-hour day shifts, offering a structured yet dynamic work schedule. Job Requirements
- Active RN license
- minimum of one year of preoperative or related nursing experience
- ability to work 40 hours per week including 10-hour day shifts
- flexibility to travel to Salem, Oregon
- up-to-date immunizations and health screenings
- proficiency in English
- commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and safety
Job Qualifications
- Valid registered nurse (RN) license
- experience in preoperative nursing or surgical nursing preferred
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- familiarity with patient care protocols and electronic medical records
- current CPR certification
Job Duties
- Provide preoperative nursing care and assessment
- monitor patient vital signs and prepare patients for surgery
- educate patients and families about surgical procedures and preoperative instructions
- collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient readiness
- maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- manage patient comfort and anxiety pre-surgery
- adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
