As a travel nurse RN Endoscopy with Trustaff, you will be assigned to work in the endoscopy or gastroenterology units in healthcare facilities such as hospitals or specialized clinics. Your primary role involves assisting physicians during endoscopic procedures where miniature cameras, or endoscopes, are used to examine the gastrointestinal tract and related areas. These instruments help in identifying and diagnosing internal conditions effectively and minimally invasively. In addition to assisting in procedures, your responsibilities include preparing patients for surgery, monitoring sedation levels, sterilizing equipment, and providing critical pre- and post-procedure care to ensure patient safety and comfort.

This position is based in Worcester, Massachusetts, starting July 15, 2026, with a 13-week duration. You will work 40 hours per week on a shift schedule of 10-hour days. The travel employment type provides flexibility to gain diverse experience while exploring new locations. Job Requirements

  • Current RN license
  • Minimum 1 year experience in endoscopy nursing
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week on 10-hour day shifts

Job Qualifications

  • Valid registered nurse (RN) license
  • Experience in endoscopy or gastroenterology nursing
  • Knowledge of endoscopic equipment and procedures
  • Ability to provide sedation and post-anesthesia care
  • Strong patient care and communication skills
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred

Job Duties

  • Assist in endoscopic procedures where use of endoscope is indicated
  • Provide pre-procedure patient care including sedation monitoring
  • Deliver post-procedure care ensuring patient recovery and comfort
  • Sterilize endoscopic instruments and maintain infection control protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team during procedures
  • Monitor patient vitals and response during endoscopy
  • Document procedures and patient care accurately
