Founded with a passion for supporting both healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations, Premier Medical Staffing Services specializes in per-diem, contract, and direct hire placements, addressing the diverse and evolving needs of the healthcare industry. Premier Medical Staffing Services is seeking a travel nurse registered nurse (RN) specialized as a CVOR First Assist for an exciting travel nursing opportunity in Atlanta, Georgia. This role offers a 16-week contract starting on August 10, 2026, with a commitment of 36 hours per week across three 12-hour shifts. The position is designed for healthcare professionals who are adept in cardiovascular operating room settings and can provide crucial first-assist support during surgeries. It is a travel role, meaning the nurse will be working away from their home location, which is ideal for those seeking dynamic work environments and opportunities to expand their professional experience while contributing essential skills to various healthcare facilities.

The role as an RN CVOR First Assist is pivotal in surgical teams, assisting surgeons during complex cardiovascular operations by anticipating needs, handling instruments, managing tissues, ensuring patient safety, and contributing to efficient surgical workflows. In addition to surgical assistance, this role demands excellent communication skills, adaptability to different healthcare settings, and the ability to work extended shifts effectively. The 12-hour shift structure and travel component require a professional who is flexible, resilient, and committed to delivering high-quality patient care in varying environments.

The pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and a 36-hour workweek, with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined, reflecting the competitive nature of travel nursing assignments and compensating professionals fairly for their expertise and mobility. This position not only offers the chance to advance clinical skills in a specialized field but also enables the nurse to experience diverse healthcare settings and geographic locations, broadening their professional network and experience portfolio. Premier Medical Staffing Services supports their clinicians throughout the assignment, ensuring that all aspects of the employment—from credentialing and compliance to housing and travel logistics—are managed smoothly, allowing healthcare professionals to focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
