Job Description
V2X is a global company with a rich history spanning 120 years, specializing in developing innovative smart solutions that integrate physical and digital infrastructure for diverse operational settings ranging from everyday logistics support to complex battlefield scenarios. As a substantial player in the defense and security sector, V2X operates with a workforce of approximately 16,000 dedicated professionals across the world, reflecting a robust $3.9 billion enterprise. The company prides itself on its legacy of mission support by constantly advancing security, streamlining logistics, and enhancing operational readiness for clients both domestic and international. V2X is committed to principles of integrity, respect, responsibility, and professionalism, which are deeply embedded in its corporate culture and operational ethos.
V2X is currently seeking a Training and Event Coordinator to join the team in the Greater Hartford, CT area, specifically between Farmington and East Hartford. This is a full-time role that supports the logistic and operational needs of learning and event functions at V2X Learning and Event Centers. The coordinator will play a crucial role in managing both onsite and virtual training events, ensuring seamless execution of multiple programmatic and event-related activities.
In this dynamic role, the Training and Event Coordinator will be responsible for a wide spectrum of logistical coordination tasks that include configuring course offerings within V2X’s Learning Management System, managing communications via group email notifications and calendar invites through Microsoft Outlook, and responding promptly to general requests from participants and stakeholders. Additional duties include preparing and reviewing training reports, troubleshooting access and learning plan challenges, generating billing reports when necessary, and coordinating comprehensive logistics such as catering orders, class materials preparation, shipping of training resources, and classroom bookings.
A significant aspect of this position involves supporting virtual class production, which represents about 30% of the role. This includes managing Zoom virtual classroom delivery, sharing presentations, tracking attendance, resolving technical issues, fostering interactive class environments with tools such as polls and breakout rooms, and ensuring classes are recorded as requested. The coordinator must adhere to all relevant security and data handling protocols throughout these activities.
Onsite responsibilities, which comprise approximately 50% of the role, involve preparation and resetting of Learning Center classrooms to meet client specifications, assisting with new employee orientations, supporting presenters with audiovisual setup and troubleshooting, maintaining supply levels in classrooms, processing visitor requests, and providing exemplary customer service to guests, students, and instructors both in person and through remote communication.
Candidates with at least two years of experience in event logistics or program delivery roles, preferably with familiarity using Learning Management Systems and Microsoft Office applications, will find this role rewarding. Proven proficiency with SharePoint or comparable collaboration tools, exceptional business writing, and verbal communication skills along with the ability to work independently and demonstrate accountability are critical for success. The role demands excellent time management and project coordination capabilities to manage multiple simultaneous events efficiently.
The physical demands are typical of an office environment but may include lifting materials up to 25 pounds during class setups or breakdowns, ensuring readiness for both physical and virtual training events. Compensation for this position ranges from $26.00 to $30.00 per hour, reflecting the skill and responsibility level required.
V2X champions equal employment opportunity and fosters a diverse and inclusive workplace culture. The company values the unique perspectives and talents of its workforce, promoting fairness, respect, and dignity for all individuals. This inclusive culture aligns with V2X’s core values of Integrity, Respect, and Responsibility and supports its strategic aim of innovation and success in a competitive global marketplace.
