Job Description

Quality Custom Distribution Services LLC (QCD), established in 2006, is a well-respected subsidiary of Golden State Foods (GSF) specializing in custom last-mile distribution solutions tailored specifically for selected food service industry customers. Headquartered in Frisco, Texas, QCD plays a crucial role in the food distribution network across the United States, serving thousands of restaurants nationwide. With an impressive operation managing over 37,000 deliveries weekly from 25 strategically located distribution centers, the company demonstrates exceptional logistical capabilities. The QCD fleet drives more than 40 million miles each year, underscoring the scale and reliability of its service network. In addition to its logistical operations, associates at QCD support philanthropic efforts through the GSF Foundation, reinforcing the company’s commitment to community engagement and social responsibility.

Working at QCD means being part of a dynamic and essential industry. Every role within the company contributes to the success of America’s favorite restaurants. Whether an associate is preparing orders, making deliveries, managing routing logistics, or overseeing warehouse operations, each member is integral to the seamless distribution process. The company’s dedicated workforce ensures that food service establishments can rely on timely and accurate deliveries to consistently meet customer demand. This fosters both employee pride and professional growth within the foodservice distribution sector.

The Sanitor position based in Apopka represents an opportunity to contribute directly to the cleanliness, maintenance, and overall efficiency of QCD’s warehouse and delivery environments. This role is essential to sustaining a safe and hygienic workspace to support smooth logistics operations. Responsibilities include cleaning warehouse floors with manual and electric-powered equipment, maintaining the cleanliness of parking lots, docks, and fence lines, cleaning inside of trailers, and effectively managing waste by collecting and separating it for recycling and disposal. The Sanitor also assists in cleaning leaker boards in dry and chilled areas and supports basic facility maintenance tasks. This multi-faceted position ensures that both indoor and outdoor areas remain pristine and fully operational.

Candidates interested in this role must have knowledge of sanitation and janitorial techniques and demonstrate the ability to follow verbal and written instructions independently. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are crucial, along with good English communication skills in reading, writing, and speaking. Physical stamina is required as the role involves standing, walking, twisting, and lifting up to 50 pounds safely. The ability to operate an electric rider pallet jack is also essential. The position works primarily during night shifts starting at midnight, with availability required for nights, weekends, and holidays, often involving repetitive lifting exceeding 75 pounds.

QCD offers a competitive starting wage of $18.48 per hour with weekly pay issued every Friday. Benefits include comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage available after just 30 days of employment, participation in a 401(k) retirement plan, paid holidays and vacation time, as well as company-provided uniforms and work shoes. Beyond these tangible benefits, QCD fosters a people-first culture centered on respect, high standards, ethical behavior, and shared success. Employees are encouraged to collaborate, celebrate achievements, learn from challenges, and contribute boldly to a culture that values diversity, inclusion, and community involvement.

As part of a continually growing enterprise, QCD emphasizes career development and advancement opportunities from entry-level positions to leadership roles. Comprehensive training and development programs further empower associates to progress within the GSF family of companies. Joining QCD means not only stepping into a role within a leading distribution company but also embarking on a career path filled with potential and meaningful impact.
