Keeneland is a prestigious Thoroughbred horse racing and sales company renowned for its world-class racetrack and exceptional customer service. The role of a server at Keeneland is vital in maintaining the high standards of customer service for which the company is known. This position primarily involves serving breakfast and lunch to horsemen and Thoroughbred racing lovers during the race meets and sales events. The role requires working early morning shifts from 5 am to 2 pm from Monday through Sunday, with extended hours during race meets and sales from 5 am to 5 pm. Servers are responsible for managing a line of customers, ensuring quick and accurate order taking, and maintaining cleanliness and organization of the dining area. They must be oriented toward serving others and adept at handling a fast-paced, sometimes stressful environment.
In addition to delivering high-quality service, the server must also manage various physical demands such as standing for long periods and lifting items up to 50 pounds. The position requires excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to use point-of-sale systems efficiently. Accountability and accuracy in reconciling sales receipts are also crucial, reflecting the need for keen attention to detail. Job Requirements
