The role of Food Booth Worker at Sodexo within the Orange County Convention Center is a part-time, on-call position that requires flexibility and availability across any shift. In this position, the Food Booth Worker may be stationed at fixed booths, portable or mobile locations, kiosks, self-service retail stores, or designated support areas. Service formats vary and can include ready-to-eat items, made-to-order dishes, or prepackaged food and drink products. As such, responsibilities adapt depending on the specific event, venue, and operational needs. Key duties involve preparing food and drinks following established recipes and portion standards, assisting with opening and closing routines which include setup and cleaning, and operating basic food service equipment such as warmers, grills, fryers, or beverage dispensers.

Physical requirements include frequently lifting and moving items up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifts of up to 40 pounds. Punctuality and consistent attendance for scheduled shifts are crucial. Additional duties may be assigned based on client demands and business requirements. Sodexo prioritizes safety and compliance; therefore, employees must adhere to local and state regulations regarding alcohol service, holding certifications like TIPS or TEAM where applicable, and may need to maintain food handler certification according to jurisdictional mandates.
