Operating in sectors such as food services, catering, facilities management, and other integrated solutions, Sodexo commits to fostering environments where both customers and employees feel valued and respected. The Orange County Convention Center is one of Sodexo's serviced locations, offering a dynamic and fast-paced setting where large-scale events are supported by dedicated food service professionals. The company values individuality, inclusion, and employee development, offering a supportive culture and flexible working conditions to meet the diverse needs of its workforce.

The role of Food Booth Worker at Sodexo within the Orange County Convention Center is a part-time, on-call position that requires flexibility and availability across any shift. Earning $18.50 per hour, this role offers more than just employment; it presents an opportunity to be part of a larger mission to improve daily life and contribute meaningfully through everyday actions. A Food Booth Worker plays an essential role in the preparation, assembly, and servicing of food and beverages during high-volume food operations, particularly at live events. Service formats vary and can include ready-to-eat items, made-to-order dishes, or prepackaged food and drink products. As such, responsibilities adapt depending on the specific event, venue, and operational needs. Key duties involve preparing food and drinks following established recipes and portion standards, assisting with opening and closing routines which include setup and cleaning, and operating basic food service equipment such as warmers, grills, fryers, or beverage dispensers.

Physical requirements include frequently lifting and moving items up to 35 pounds, with occasional lifts of up to 40 pounds. Punctuality and consistent attendance for scheduled shifts are crucial. Additional duties may be assigned based on client demands and business requirements. Sodexo prioritizes safety and compliance; therefore, employees must adhere to local and state regulations regarding alcohol service, holding certifications like TIPS or TEAM where applicable, and may need to maintain food handler certification according to jurisdictional mandates.

This job offers opportunities for ongoing training, career advancement, and comprehensive benefits supporting employee and family wellbeing, including paid time off, holidays, medical, dental, vision insurance, tuition reimbursement, retirement plans, and discount programs. Specific locations may also provide additional perks such as free meals during shifts, uniforms, safety footwear, and support for public transportation or parking. Sodexo fosters an inclusive workplace culture centered on fairness, respect, and belonging, encouraging open communication and valuing employee input.
