Job Description
Loews Hotels at Universal Orlando is a renowned hospitality establishment that embodies excellence in the hotel and resort industry. With a legacy founded in 1960, Loews Hotels & Co operates iconic hotels and resorts across the United States, known for crafting exceptional experiences in some of the nation's most admired destinations. The Universal Orlando Resort location, in particular, boasts award-winning hotels that stand as a testament to the company's commitment to world-class service, dynamic culture, and employee well-being. Recognized as one of Central Florida's Top Workplaces and one of America’s Best-in-State Employers by Forbes, Loews Hotels is dedicated to fostering a 'power of we' culture—a collaborative, inclusive environment where all team members are encouraged to bring their authentic selves to work and grow professionally and personally.
At the heart of their operational excellence is an ongoing investment in employee training and development, providing a nurturing environment where team members can unlock their full potential. Loews Hotels also emphasizes social responsibility, continually engaging with the community as a good neighbor, and ensuring a workplace that cares for its employees as much as it does for its guests. The benefits of working at Loews Hotels extend beyond competitive pay to include meaningful perks such as one free meal per shift and free theme park access, making the workplace both rewarding and enjoyable.
This role is based at the Universal Endless Summer Resort - Dockside Inn and Suites, a setting inspired by the beauty of sand, sea, and sunsets, offering an idyllic backdrop for both guests and staff. The position available is for an experienced hospitality manager who will be pivotal in delivering exceptional service to high-profile guests and groups. The role requires a balance of leadership, organization, and a guest-centric approach to ensure that every aspect of the guest experience—from pre-arrival arrangements to departure—is seamlessly executed.
The hospitality manager will oversee the Tour and Travel staff, guiding their development through hiring, training, and ongoing coaching. You'll be in charge of the daily operations of group, wholesale, and VIP reservations, ensuring operational efficiency while driving revenue through complementary sales such as souvenir cups and food vouchers. Controlling departmental expenses and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of reservation systems are central to success in this role.
Collaboration is key, as this role demands close coordination with various hotel departments including Front Office, Conference, and Sales, as well as external partners like Universal Orlando. You will prepare detailed reports for group contacts, maintain meticulous filing systems, and ensure that all guest information and requests are handled promptly and professionally.
An effective hospitality manager at Loews Hotels will embody positive relationships, seamless communication, and service excellence, promoting teamwork and contributing to a respectful and polite workplace culture. Responsibilities also span adherence to safety protocols, emergency procedures, maintaining cleanliness and equipment condition, and upholding the hotel's standards for uniform and grooming. The position requires a hands-on leader willing to work during peak periods with flexibility in scheduling.
If you are highly organized, a skilled communicator, a forward-thinking problem solver, and passionate about delivering a high level of service in every facet of hospitality, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact within an esteemed hospitality company that values diversity, inclusion, and community engagement.
