Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- 2-3 years of supervisory experience in upscale banquet, hotel, or convention center settings
- possession of a state-issued Health Certificate and up-to-date immunizations
- ServSafe certification
- ability to lift and carry heavy objects
- availability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and long shifts
- proficiency with computer software such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- physical stamina and ability to multitask
- ability to train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- problem-solving and decision-making capabilities
- detail-oriented approach
- commitment to professional conduct and teamwork
- knowledge of basic mathematics

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- 2-3 years in a similar position in upscale banquet, hotel, or convention center setting with supervisory experience

Job Duties
- Supervise all line setup, prep, and breakdown activities
- supervise buffet, beverage, break, and carving table set-up and breakdown
- assist Executive Chef with kitchen record-keeping and administrative tasks including food inventory and ordering
- organize employee work schedules ensuring proper coverage
- measure, mix, and cook ingredients according to recipes
- maintain cleanliness standards in all kitchen and food production areas
- provide ongoing assistance, training, and mentoring to kitchen staff
- promote a positive and cooperative workplace environment
- monitor food quality, appearance, temperature, sanitation, and portion control
- monitor events, materials, and kitchen surroundings
- guide, direct, and motivate kitchen employees
- ensure compliance with all food safety standards
- communicate with supervisors, peers, and subordinates
- make decisions and solve problems, organize, plan, and prioritize work
- evaluate information against standards
- implement programs, systems, or products
- document and record personnel discipline information
- collaborate with Human Resources on personnel discipline
- perform other duties as assigned
