Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader specializing in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services. Established in 2015, OVG has rapidly grown to manage a portfolio that includes seven world-class venues and an extensive roster of clients comprising iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. Their expertise spans venue development, venue management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales, positioning them as a key innovator in the live entertainment industry. With such a diverse and dynamic platform, OVG is committed to delivering exceptional service and unparalleled guest experiences at every location they manage.

One of the prime venues under OVG's management is Canvas Stadium, located on the campus of Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. This outdoor college football stadium opened in 2017, ending a 50-year hiatus of Rams football games being played on campus. The stadium is not just a sports venue but a central hub for community and university engagement, offering a lively atmosphere during game days and events. Being part of OVG’s team at Canvas Stadium means joining a fast-paced and vibrant environment where customer satisfaction and operational excellence are paramount.

The Server position at Colorado State University’s Canvas Stadium is a part-time role ideal for individuals passionate about hospitality and providing top-tier service in a high-volume setting. This position offers an hourly wage of $16.00, with additional earnings possible through tips. Seasoned servers or those looking to gain experience in hospitalty will find this role rewarding, especially considering the accompanying opportunity for a $200 seasonal bonus for commitment across all seven home games in the football season. The job requires availability primarily on game days, which typically require shifts ranging from 9 to 12 hours, with additional catering event opportunities based on availability.

Responsibilities include delivering attentive and professional service to guests, ensuring food and beverages are served promptly and correctly, and maintaining an inviting service area. Servers at Canvas Stadium are expected to communicate efficiently with kitchen staff, bartenders, and their peers to create seamless and memorable experiences for attendees. The role also demands a keen understanding of menu items, proper food handling, and upholding the highest standards of cleanliness and personal presentation.

Employees benefit from Oak View Group's commitment to its team, which includes access to a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions and accrued paid leave calculated by hours worked. This enables part-time, seasonal, and internship employees to accrue up to 48 hours of paid leave annually, enhancing their work-life balance even in part-time roles. OVG’s inclusive culture is deeply rooted in valuing diverse voices and backgrounds, promoting an innovative and collaborative work environment. The company fosters equal employment opportunities and values respect and cooperation among staff and guests alike.

In summary, the Server role at Colorado State University through Oak View Group offers more than just a job. It provides a platform for individuals to develop hospitality skills in a dynamic, team-oriented, and culturally rich environment. The position suits energetic, customer-focused applicants who thrive under pressure and appreciate being part of a broader team delivering exceptional live entertainment experiences. The combination of competitive pay, potential bonuses, benefits, and the chance to be part of a prestigious venue makes this an enticing opportunity for prospective employees looking for meaningful part-time work in Fort Collins, Colorado.
