Founded in 2015, OVG boasts a dynamic platform that spans multiple continents, operating seven world-class owned venues alongside a diverse client roster of iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions. Committed to excellence and innovation, Oak View Group prides itself on creating environments where entertainment, culture, and hospitality seamlessly integrate to deliver unforgettable guest experiences.
Within this impressive portfolio, Oak View Group operates the food and beverage experience at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art located in Los Angeles, California. This establishment is a premier cultural destination featuring a variety of dining venues that include a multi-concept café, a modern luxury restaurant, a licensed Starbucks, and a vibrant special events catering program. The hospitality team at the Lucas Museum is dedicated to offering exceptional culinary delights, service, and hospitality that reflect both the museum's artistic spirit and the high standards of Oak View Group.
The Lead Pastry Cook is a key role within this operation, responsible for leading the pastry kitchen to produce high-quality pastries, desserts, baked goods, and specialty confections for the museum's cafe, restaurant, catering services, and special events. This is a full-time position with an hourly wage range of $24.00 to $30.00, reflecting the importance of skill and leadership required for the role.
As the lead pastry professional, you will oversee the daily production and presentation of all pastry offerings, ensuring that each item meets the highest standards of quality, taste, and visual appeal. Your leadership extends beyond baking to include training and mentoring pastry team members, maintaining food safety and sanitation standards, and working closely with culinary leadership to enhance the guest experience through innovative and artfully crafted desserts.
The role demands a deep understanding of pastry techniques, baking fundamentals, product consistency, and inventory management. You will also play a crucial part in planning production schedules, minimizing food waste, and fostering a positive and collaborative kitchen environment. Your ability to manage a team, multitask effectively, and uphold organizational and time-management skills are essential to the role’s success.
Working at Oak View Group within the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art means joining a diverse, inclusive team that values innovation, people, and high standards of service excellence. OVG is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring a supportive work culture that amplifies diverse voices and perspectives. This position offers comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off, including vacation, sick days, and holidays.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pastry cook passionate about quality, creativity, and leadership to contribute to a world-class hospitality operation in a culturally significant venue. The position remains open until October 23, 2026, inviting qualified candidates who are eager to lead and inspire in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
