This role is critical in upholding the quality and artistry of the museum's pastry offerings across various outlets, including the cafe, restaurant, catering, banquets, and special events. The Lead Pastry Cook will oversee daily pastry production, ensuring all baked goods meet the highest standards of taste, appearance, and consistency. The position involves leadership responsibilities where the individual will train and mentor pastry team members, coach for productivity, and foster a positive kitchen environment. Emphasis is placed on precision in decorating and finishing desserts, maintaining consistent portioning, and adapting menus to seasonal changes and special occasions. The role also involves monitoring inventory to minimize waste, operating specialized bakery equipment safely, and adhering strictly to health and sanitation regulations.
Joining Oak View Group means becoming part of an organization dedicated to diversity, inclusion, and equal employment opportunity, reflecting an environment where innovation and excellence in guest service are nurtured. The company offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, and paid time off for vacations, sick days, and holidays. This role provides a unique opportunity to contribute to an iconic cultural institution’s culinary legacy while growing professionally within a supportive, vibrant team.
