Among its impressive portfolio is the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art located in Los Angeles, California. This museum not only serves as a cultural beacon but also hosts a diverse array of dining experiences, including a multi-concept cafe, a modern luxury restaurant, a licensed Starbucks outlet, and a dynamic special events catering program. The food and beverage operations at the museum are managed by Oak View Group, showcasing their commitment to combining world-class hospitality with exceptional cultural experiences.

This role offers an hourly paying range from $24.00 to $30.00, reflecting the level of skill and dedication required. As the Lead Pastry Cook, you will spearhead the daily preparation and presentation of an extensive variety of pastries, desserts, baked goods, and specialty confections. You will play a crucial hands-on leadership role, guiding and training team members to achieve consistency, quality, and creativity while maintaining the highest food safety and sanitation standards. This leadership extends to mentoring team members on advanced pastry techniques, monitoring productivity, and fostering a positive and professional kitchen environment.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with culinary leadership to contribute to menu development, seasonal and holiday offerings, and specialty dessert features, thus providing guests with new and exciting culinary experiences. Additionally, the Lead Pastry Cook will assist with inventory management and product needs communication, production scheduling, and waste minimization efforts to optimize operational efficiency.

This role is designed for passionate culinary professionals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess both technical mastery of baking and pastry arts and strong organizational skills. The Lead Pastry Cook acts as an essential team leader, sometimes serving as the primary pastry member in the absence of the Sous Chef or Executive Chef, emphasizing the importance of this role within the culinary hierarchy.

By joining Oak View Group at the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art, you become a part of an inclusive and diverse team committed to excellence and innovation in hospitality. OVG values diversity and strives to create an environment that respects and celebrates differences, recognizing that inclusivity drives better service and strengthens their workforce. Benefits for this full-time position include health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) savings plan with matching, and paid time off including vacation, sick days, and general holidays.
