The Food Runner role at Chickie’s & Pete’s within the PPL Center represents an essential support position in the restaurant's operations, ensuring smooth communication and coordination between the kitchen, servers, and guests. The individual in this position must maintain a friendly and positive attitude while efficiently collaborating with servers, the kitchen staff, and management. Other duties include assisting in food preparation, supporting bussing and cleaning responsibilities, maintaining condiment and napkin stations, and responding promptly and politely to guest requests or concerns. The role demands multitasking skills, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the busy demands of event days at PPL Center.

- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Must perform physical activities including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking, balancing, and handling of materials
- Must be able to stand for long periods
- Previous experience in a fast-paced food service environment preferred

Job Duties
- Smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
- Deliver food from kitchen to appropriate server and assist server with delivery of food to guests
- Work with expeditor to ensure efficient delivery of food based on restaurant layout
- Perform food preparation duties when needed
- Follow all Chickie's & Pete's service standards
- Check food for quality and presentation before serving
- Ensure food is transported and handled in a sanitary manner
- Deliver to-go orders to Host/Hostess stand for guest pick-up
- Assist in bussing and cleaning responsibilities
- Ensure all condiments and napkin dispensers are clean and well-stocked
- Respond appropriately to guest requests, comments and complaints and bring any issues to the attention of management
- Complete beginning, change, and end of shift duties
- Work efficiently and with a sense of urgency
- Provide garnish for specified menu items according to Menu Build
- Assist in keeping work areas clean
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings
- Additional tasks as assigned by management
