Within the PPL Center resides Chickie's & Pete's, a full-service bar and restaurant known for its dynamic menu and lively atmosphere. Chickie's & Pete's operates during lunch hours Tuesday through Friday and opens its doors for events hosted at the PPL Center. The restaurant prides itself on providing a high-quality dining experience with efficient service and a welcoming environment for all patrons.

The open part-time Food Runner position is integral to the seamless operation of Chickie's & Pete's within the dynamic environment of the PPL Center. This role supports the restaurant's servers by acting as a critical liaison between the kitchen staff, servers, and guests, ensuring timely and accurate service. A Food Runner's key responsibility involves delivering hot food items while they are hot and cold items while cold, maintaining the highest standards of food presentation and quality. Additionally, the Food Runner assists with garnish and presentation tasks and helps prepare food in the kitchen as needed.

This position offers an hourly wage range of $9.00 to $12.00 and provides part-time employees with access to benefits, including a 401(k) savings plan and 401(k) matching. Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Previous experience in a fast-paced food service environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and long hours
Ability to stand for extended periods
Ability to perform physical activities requiring moderate strength
Must be able to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
Commitment to a positive attitude and teamwork
Must be able to adhere to Chickie's & Pete's service standards

Job Qualifications

Previous experience in a fast-paced food service environment preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude with co-workers, management staff, volunteers and guests
Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, some holidays, and long hours
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
Must perform physical activities in a variety of environmental conditions that require moderate strength, including cleaning, climbing, lifting, walking, balancing, and handling of materials
Must be able to stand for long periods of time

Job Duties

Smile and maintain a positive attitude at all times
Deliver food from kitchen to appropriate server and assist server with delivery of food to guests
Work with expeditor to ensure efficient delivery of food based on restaurant layout
Perform food preparation duties when needed
Follow all Chickie's & Pete's service standards
Check food for quality and presentation before serving
Ensure food is transported and handled in a sanitary manner
Deliver to-go orders to Host/Hostess stand for guest pick-up
Assist in bussing and cleaning responsibilities
Ensure all condiments and napkin dispensers are clean and well-stocked
Respond appropriately to guest requests, comments and complaints and bring any issues to the attention of management
Complete beginning, change, and end of shift duties
Work efficiently and with a sense of urgency
Provide garnish for specified menu items according to menu build
Assist in keeping work areas clean
Attend all scheduled employee meetings
Additional tasks as assigned by management
