Job Description

Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, renowned for its comprehensive platform that spans venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Established in 2015, OVG has rapidly become a distinguished presence in the industry, managing seven world-class venues and collaborating with iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions spread across four continents. Oak View Group's commitment to excellence and innovation in the live entertainment sector makes it a dynamic and rewarding place to work for individuals passionate about contributing to vibrant, large-scale events and guest experiences.

The Dishwasher position at the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, part of Florida State University and managed by OVG, is a part-time role ideal for candidates seeking flexible work hours in a bustling, event-driven environment. This role involves the essential task of washing and sanitizing all tableware, serving materials, cooking equipment, and small wares used in food service operations at the venue. Working in this position, you will be a vital member of the team responsible for maintaining the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation to ensure guest safety and satisfaction.

The role requires maintaining excellent attendance and being available to work during scheduled events, reflecting the variable and sometimes fast-paced nature of live entertainment services. This position pays an hourly rate of $15.50. Key responsibilities include adhering to safety standards such as the Material Safety Data Sheet (M.S.D.S.) criteria, effectively handling food and product safety protocols, and consistently implementing all food and beverage policies and procedures. You will be expected to manage waste removal duties and keep loading and receiving areas in safe, clean condition, contributing to overall operational smoothness.

Additionally, the dishwasher will stock clean plates, glasses, pots, utensils, and pans after washing, and clean and sanitize all food service areas and equipment thoroughly. On occasion, you may be asked to aid in food preparation tasks, promoting a cooperative and versatile work environment.

Candidates with some kitchen experience will find this role familiar and engaging, although the company values team members who can thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting characterized by frequent events. Strong communication skills are vital to interact respectfully and effectively with coworkers, management, and guests, fostering a positive and enthusiastic workplace culture.

Possessing a valid food handling certificate may be required depending on state and federal regulations, and the ability to operate standard kitchen equipment—including broilers, steamers, convection ovens, mixers, meat slicers, and chef knives—is highly advantageous. Oak View Group prides itself on inclusivity and diversity, recognizing that a diverse team enhances innovation, service quality, and overall excellence.

OVG is an equal opportunity employer committed to nondiscrimination and encourages applicants from all backgrounds to apply. This position will remain open until August 28, 2026, providing a great opportunity for those seeking steady part-time employment in a stimulating environment where they can contribute significantly to the success of live entertainment events.
