The Concessions Supervisor role at SRP Park, home of the Augusta Green Jackets in North Augusta, South Carolina, is a part-time position that plays a critical role in the daily operations of concessions services during events. SRP Park is a vibrant venue located in the heart of downtown North Augusta, known for its scenic views of the river and its status as the best minor league ballpark in 2018. Beyond baseball games, the park is a versatile venue for concerts, office parties, and various events.

As a Concessions Supervisor, you will oversee food and beverage service across multiple concession stands, bars, and portable locations within the arena. You will be responsible for ensuring that all points of sale are set up properly before events, managing inventory, training staff and volunteers, and maintaining sanitation standards. The role demands a personable and adaptable individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. You will assist the Concessions Manager and leadership team with key projects, including training programs, inventory management, and special event coordination.

This position requires strong leadership skills to supervise and mentor staff and volunteers effectively, ensuring excellent guest service and operational efficiency. The Concessions Supervisor must enforce company policies, practice safe workplace standards, and uphold responsible alcohol service practices. The role pays an hourly wage of $14.00 to $18.00 and offers part-time benefits including a 401(k) savings plan with matching. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1-2 years experience in food and beverage supervision
  • Valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit as required
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Reliable attendance
  • Capability to handle cash accurately
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and percentages
  • Ability to supervise and train staff and volunteers
  • Commitment to safety and compliance policies

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1-2 years experience in a supervisory role in a food and beverage environment
  • Ability to supervise others effectively
  • Strong communication skills with employees, volunteers, management, and guests
  • Proficient in English speaking, reading, and writing
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced event environment
  • Possession of valid food handling certificate or alcohol service permit if required
  • Accurate cash handling skills
  • Competent in basic math functions for transactions and inventory

Job Duties

  • Ensure proper set-up of all concessions locations prior to doors
  • Provide a high level of oversight and operational expertise for smooth and profitable event execution
  • Train new and current employees on property procedures and best practices
  • Cover and back-up any open positions to maintain operational standards
  • Ensure workplace safety and address safety concerns immediately
  • Provide ongoing training, mentoring, and positive workplace culture promotion
  • Obtain and maintain working knowledge of all concession locations and their operations
  • Supervise beverage service including alcohol and verify guest IDs
  • Record and communicate guest orders accurately via POS system
  • Observe guests for additional needs and meal completion
  • Compute meal costs, accept payments, and provide change
  • Recommend menu items and explain preparations
  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards
  • Meet attendance standards and ensure equipment operability
  • Recognize and address guests who are visibly intoxicated
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures
  • Apply excellent HR practices with employee relations and corrective measures
  • Assist management with training, inventory, and special events
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors and managers
