Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is a globally recognized leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, offering a comprehensive platform that encompasses venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Established in 2015, OVG manages seven world-class venues and serves a diverse client roster that includes iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions spanning four continents. The company's commitment to innovation and excellence has made it a trusted partner in the sports and live entertainment industry, with a focus on delivering memorable experiences to guests and patrons.
One of OVG's premier venues is the Bank of Oklahoma (BOK) Center, located in downtown Tulsa, Oklahoma. This state-of-the-art arena is the region's leading sports and entertainment destination, boasting a seating capacity of 19,199 and encompassing 565,000 square feet. The BOK Center hosts a wide range of events, including concerts, family shows, and special events, and has been recognized multiple times as one of the best venues in the United States. Its modern design and world-class amenities make it a sought-after location for both local and international events.
The Bar Supervisor role at the BOK Center is a part-time position that plays a critical role in maintaining the high standards for which the venue is known. This position is responsible for supervising the alcohol service at various bar locations throughout the arena, including portable bars and premium seating areas. The Bar Supervisor ensures that all bar operations run smoothly, safely, and profitably during events. This involves overseeing setup, managing staff, maintaining sanitation and safety standards, verifying proper cash handling procedures, and ensuring a positive guest experience.
The ideal candidate for this role will be personable, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. They will work closely with Concessions Bar and Premium Management teams, as well as the broader OVG leadership, to support training initiatives, conduct inventory management, and assist in special event execution. The Bar Supervisor is expected to demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills while fostering a cooperative and enthusiastic workplace. A strong commitment to safety and compliance, including verifying guests' age for alcohol service and addressing visibly intoxicated individuals appropriately, is essential.
This role offers an hourly wage of $17.50 and includes benefits such as participation in a 401(k) savings plan with matching contributions, even for part-time employees. The position requires excellent attendance and flexibility to work scheduled event days. The Bar Supervisor is also instrumental in ensuring that all company policies and procedures are followed, maintaining a safe and harassment-free work environment, and providing constructive feedback and ongoing support to event staff.
Working as a Bar Supervisor at the BOK Center provides an exciting opportunity to be part of a leading entertainment venue and contribute to delivering exceptional live event experiences. This position will remain open until July 31, 2026, offering stability and the chance to grow within a respected organization dedicated to diversity, inclusivity, and excellence.
