Job Description

Positioned within this renowned organization is the Oneida Casino, located in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Oneida Casino is a vibrant and busy venue that offers guests an exceptional entertainment atmosphere combined with diverse dining and beverage options. To support the casino’s bustling bar operations, Oak View Group is seeking a dedicated Bar Back on a regular part-time basis. The role is hourly paid at $15.00 and remains open until June 30, 2026.

The Bar Back plays a crucial role in the front-of-house operations by supporting bartenders to ensure seamless and efficient beverage service during events. This position involves restocking all bar supplies including non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages, ice wells, and consumables such as napkins, cups, utensils, fruit garnishes, and stirrers. The Bar Back also undertakes responsibilities to maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe bar environment, which includes cleaning the bar areas, mopping floors, emptying trash cans, and ensuring storage spaces are organized and free of clutter.

A strong focus on safety is part of the role, where the employee is expected to recognize and report any guests who appear intoxicated to prevent issues related to alcohol consumption. The Bar Back must adhere to all company policies and legal standards related to alcohol service and maintain the operability of bar equipment before events. Job Requirements

  • Valid food handling certificate if required by state or federal regulations
  • Alcohol service permit if required by state or federal regulations
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including events
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English
  • Basic math skills

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, event-driven environment
  • Ability to communicate with employees, co-workers, management staff and guests in a clear, business-like and respectful manner
  • Possess valid food handling certificate and alcohol service permit if required by state and federal regulations
  • Ability to calculate basic math functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentages as related to product inventory
  • Ability to speak, read and write in English
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high volume bar capacity preferred

Job Duties

  • Responsible for stocking products for the bar including non-alcoholic beverages, alcoholic beverages, icing wells, sweeping and mopping the bar, moving kegs in and out of keg coolers and tapping kegs
  • Running supplies for bartenders back up fruit, napkins, cups, utensils and stirrers
  • Assures that the location equipment is operable and clean prior to start of event
  • Maintain cleanliness of bar and surrounding areas utilizing sanitation procedures, including mopping floors, cleaning and stacking floor mats, emptying and relining trash cans and keeping closet areas clear of debris and clutter
  • Responsible for recognizing guests that are visibly intoxicated and taking action to make bartenders aware of such individuals
  • Maintains sanitation, health and safety standards in work areas
  • Demonstrates excellent attendance and availability to work scheduled events per business need
