Job Description
Oak View Group (OVG) is a global leader in premium live entertainment infrastructure and services, known for its expertise in venue development, management, hospitality, and sponsorship sales. Established in 2015, OVG manages a portfolio of seven world-class owned venues and a diverse client roster including iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions across four continents. With a reputation for innovation and excellence, Oak View Group is dedicated to creating memorable live experiences for audiences worldwide by combining cutting-edge infrastructure with exceptional event execution.
This job opening is for the position of Action Chef at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a renowned golf tournament event held in Orlando, Florida. The role is offered on a seasonal part-time basis, running from February 10, 2026, until June 10, 2026, with an hourly wage of $19.50. The Action Chef position is integral to delivering an outstanding guest experience at live events by preparing and cooking food live in front of guests at various action stations such as omelet, carving, pasta, and grill stations. This role requires not only strong culinary skills but also professionalism, speed, and an engaging presence to interact effectively with guests while maintaining high standards of food quality and safety.
The Action Chef is responsible for ensuring that all food is prepared according to event standards and presented with attention to portion control and visual appeal. Maintaining a clean, organized, and professional cooking station is essential, as is compliance with food safety and sanitation guidelines, including proper glove use and handwashing. This role demands excellent time management and communication skills, as the Action Chef must coordinate with supervisors and team members to ensure seamless service operations. Additionally, the role involves supporting the kitchen team with food preparation before service and clean-up after the event.
Working as an Action Chef in a dynamic, high-volume seasonal event requires adaptability, the ability to work efficiently under pressure, and comfort with working outdoors in varying weather conditions. This position is ideal for culinary professionals with prior cook or chef experience, particularly those familiar with action station cooking. The successful candidate will demonstrate reliability, punctuality, and the stamina to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Food Handler Certification is preferred but not mandatory, provided the individual is willing to obtain it.
Oak View Group values diversity and inclusivity, fostering a workplace culture that reflects and celebrates the diverse communities it serves. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to creating an environment free from discrimination based on protected classes such as veteran status, race, religion, gender, disability, or age. The Action Chef role offers a seasonal opportunity to be part of a globally respected organization that emphasizes innovation, teamwork, and excellence in live entertainment hospitality.
