Job Description

USC Auxiliary Services is a distinguished division within The University of Southern California, dedicated to enhancing the experience of over 65,000 students, athletes, faculty, staff, and guests who engage with the university daily. This large and dynamic division encompasses six vital business units including USC Bookstores, USC Hospitality, USC Housing, USC Transportation, the USC Hotel, and the iconic Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Together, these units work collaboratively to create an unparalleled experience for future leaders, scientists, filmmakers, engineers, and doctors, truly embodying the spirit of the Trojan family. USC Auxiliary Services is deeply committed to its core values of integrity, excellence, community, well-being, open communication, and accountability, striving to uphold these principles in all aspects of its operations to ensure a welcoming and supportive environment for everyone involved.

The Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, an emblematic sports and events venue, has been the proud home of the USC Trojans football team since 1923. Beyond football, it serves as a premier location for concerts, international soccer matches, food festivals, and various other large-scale events. Recently, the stadium underwent a substantial $315 million renovation, which has significantly upgraded its facilities and services. The Coliseum's mission is to maintain its reputation as "The Greatest Stadium in the World," providing world-class experiences for all visitors and patrons.

We are currently seeking a Ticket Seller 2 (Resource Employee) to join our dynamic and growing team. This hourly, non-exempt role is ideal for individuals who enjoy customer interaction and have experience with ticket sales and cash handling. Resource employees are limited to working no more than 1,000 hours within a rolling 12-month period at the university, making this opportunity perfect for those seeking part-time or flexible work arrangements. The position offers an hourly wage of $24.00, reflecting the responsibility and skill required.

As a Ticket Seller 2, you will play a critical role in delivering a seamless ticketing experience to our diverse audience. Your responsibilities will focus on in-person and phone sales using the Ticketmaster system, ensuring efficient handling of cash and charge/debit transactions at every shift. Accuracy and professionalism are paramount, as you will be responsible for balancing cash and reconciling ticket sales while maintaining excellent customer service standards throughout each transaction. You will manage everyday tasks such as distributing "will call" tickets, answering questions on seating, parking, and event details, and processing promoter requests.

Success in this role requires prior experience with Ticketmaster and a solid foundation in customer service or sales environments, preferably within ticketing or live events. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently under deadlines in a fast-paced setting are essential. The role demands flexibility, including working weekends, evenings, and holidays, aligning with the diverse schedule of events hosted at the Coliseum.

Joining USC Auxiliary Services and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum means becoming part of a vibrant and proud community that values mutual respect, trust, and synergy. Employees enjoy a comprehensive range of benefits designed to support work-life balance and personal well-being. This position offers an exciting chance to contribute to a historic venue’s legacy while developing your skills in a professional, engaging, and energetic environment. If you are passionate about customer service, attentive to detail, and eager to be part of a team that enhances the USC experience, we encourage you to apply and join the Trojan family. Fight on!
