Employees also benefit from the tranquil lakeside environment, complete with outdoor art and scenic trails, making it a desirable place to work and unwind. The hotel culture fosters connection, appreciation, and recognition, with monthly celebrations honoring birthdays and work anniversaries, creating a welcoming and supportive atmosphere for all team members.

The position available is for a Line Cook responsible for preparing and cooking all food items across multiple outlets within the property. The role encompasses work in the Corporate Headquarters outlet, Banquets and Catering for meeting rooms, and the Executive Lounge. The Line Cook must adhere to standardized recipes and uphold the highest standards of quality, ensuring that every dish served is appealing and appetizing. This role is pivotal in delivering exceptional culinary experiences to guests, maintaining the reputation of The Stella Hotel's dining services.

Another critical aspect of this role includes minimizing food waste while maximizing cost efficiency and the production ratio, demonstrating the Line Cook's role in both culinary excellence and operational efficiency.

This position requires a hands-on approach to food handling, with duties including working banquet food stations and preparing food for associate cafeterias as per leadership instructions. The Line Cook must be well-versed in the hotel's standard recipes and capable of working under pressure while maintaining composure and objectivity. They must participate actively in maintaining kitchen equipment, practicing safe work habits, and complying with all hotel policies and emergency procedures.

Candidates for this role are expected to have a high school diploma or equivalent, preferably with some experience in a hotel or related environment. Food Handlers Certification, compliant with state requirements, is mandatory. Effective communication skills, the ability to evaluate alternatives quickly, and the capacity to manage stressful, high-pressure situations with a calm demeanor are essential traits. The position demands a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence in both service and kitchen safety standards.

The Stella Hotel offers a competitive benefits package after an initial waiting period for full-time employees, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, short-term and long-term disability income, term life and AD&D insurance, paid time off, an employee assistance program, and a 401k retirement plan. Additionally, the unique offering of daily pay benefits adds flexibility and convenience for employees.

Joining The Stella Hotel means becoming part of a respected community and a team that values your contribution and well-being.
