Job Description

Our hotel is located on the historic Canal Street, conveniently situated just steps away from multiple streetcar stops in a vibrant and bustling area. As a proud member of the Autograph Collection, our hotel stands out by embracing the unique spirit of both our establishment and our associates, creating an experience Exactly Like Nothing Else®. This commitment to individuality and excellence fosters an environment where every guest interaction is memorable and distinct. Our team-centric culture encourages cross-departmental training, enabling associates to develop new skills and knowledge that are crucial for career growth and internal promotion. The leadership team actively works alongside the staff, fostering a supportive atmosphere where team spirit thrives and every associate’s voice is valued. We fully embody the THINK WE spirit of Aimbridge Hospitality, emphasizing collaboration, diversity, and mutual respect.

The Executive Meeting Manager role at our hotel is an exciting opportunity for professionals looking to thrive in a dynamic hospitality environment. This management-level position holds primary responsibility for proactively prospecting, facilitating, and closing group and catering business opportunities. The role also encompasses event execution for the assigned hotel(s), ensuring seamless coordination and outstanding client satisfaction. Employees in this position are expected to commit the necessary time and effort each day to fulfill all job responsibilities, with overtime applicable and calculated for OEM associates.

In this role, you will work directly to achieve assigned sales and revenue goals, while monitoring and evaluating market trends specific to your segment to maximize opportunity. You will develop an in-depth understanding of our hotel’s operations and policies, coordinating closely with applicable departments. As the Executive Meeting Manager, you will oversee the entire event management process, including creating Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), forecasting food and beverage needs, managing room blocks, and ensuring continuous communication with relevant teams.

Your sales strategy will involve not only recognizing and responding to customer needs but also innovating prospecting methods through individual creativity and resourcefulness. Leveraging a broad array of tools, you’ll identify potential leads and carefully analyze the value of each opportunity against hotel objectives during daily Revenue Maximization meetings. Utilizing yield management principles, you will negotiate room rates and function space commitments to optimize the hotel’s financial performance.

A strong focus on revenue management will be critical, as you assess trends and patterns in pricing and their impact on occupancy, revenue, and flow-through. You will also stay informed on competitor sales strategies and tactics, identifying ways to capitalize on their weaknesses while highlighting our hotel’s unique strengths. Building relationships in the local community and engaging in business networking will be essential to maintaining high visibility and promoting the hotel brand effectively.

Attention to detail and excellent communication skills will enable you to respond promptly to leads and requests for proposals within 24 hours, maintain accurate internal communications, and conduct site inspections and sales calls. Participation in trade shows, client events, and internal meetings will be expected, ensuring you are fully aligned with management priorities and organizational goals. Finally, you will be ready to undertake any additional duties as required by the General Manager or Director of Sales, contributing meaningfully to the success of the hotel and the overall Aimbridge Hospitality brand.
