The role of the Benihana Hibachi Chef is a unique position that combines culinary expertise with performance and guest interaction. Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests within 15 minutes of their teppan order
  • perform a cooking show for assigned tables ensuring interaction with guests is appropriate and courteous
  • provide guests with information about Benihana foods as they are being cooked or upon guest inquiries
  • respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
  • ask guests for cooking preference and follow guest instructions
  • prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables, and other food items for cooking using kitchen equipment
  • perform shift opening and closing duties such as cleaning refrigeration units, gaskets, chef carts, and floors
