KPMG is seeking a Temporary Manager, Senior Event Management Engineer to join its Digital Nexus organization for a twelve-month assignment. This advanced role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining critical event management and automation solutions that support enterprise IT operations. The successful candidate will work extensively with technologies such as Python, JavaScript, Go, and IBM AIOps along with Netcool OMNIbus and Impact platforms. Responsibilities include event ingestion, transformation, enrichment, correlation, and automation workflows that enhance operational efficiency and event noise reduction. The role demands a strong understanding of event management concepts including normalization, deduplication, and policy-driven automation. The candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams across monitoring, platform engineering, and IT operations to improve alert quality, operational reliability, and workflow automation.

This position is ideal for individuals who have significant experience in software development, automation engineering, and enterprise event management ecosystems. The role also requires strong Linux/UNIX system administration skills and familiarity with integrations such as REST APIs, JSON data exchanges, IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps, ServiceNow, CMDB/ITSM solutions, message bus technologies like Kafka or MQ, and CI/CD pipelines using Git-based workflows. Candidates must have at least a high school diploma or GED, with preference given to those holding a Bachelor’s degree. This role is based in the United States and requires candidates to have authorization to work in the U.S. without the need for future visa sponsorship.
