Job Description

Checkers is a leading fast-food restaurant chain known for its commitment to delivering high-quality, flavorful food in a welcoming and efficient environment. As part of the quick-service restaurant sector, Checkers emphasizes speed, guest satisfaction, and operational excellence. The company values integrity, service, excellence, and courage as core pillars that support its mission to create a positive experience for both guests and employees alike. Checkers operates numerous locations, each designed to provide an engaging and fun atmosphere where team members are empowered to grow personally and professionally while delivering exceptional food and service.

The Team Member role at Checkers is a dynamic and multifaceted position designed for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a genuine passion for guest satisfaction. As a Team Member, you will engage with guests directly, preparing and serving hot, fresh, and flavorful food while ensuring the restaurant maintains high standards of cleanliness and safety. This position offers variety, allowing you to take on various responsibilities such as "Grill Guru," "Fry Fanatic," or "Guest Service Specialist," ensuring every guest receives outstanding service regardless of the task at hand. Employment opportunities are available in both full-time and part-time capacities, with competitive wages up to $15.60 per hour and hourly pay up to $12 depending on position and experience.

This role is essential in building and maintaining sales and profits by promoting guest satisfaction and loyalty. You will be responsible for identifying and responding to guests' needs promptly and professionally, escalating any concerns or recommendations to the General Manager to ensure issues are resolved swiftly. The position requires adaptability, as you will complete cross-training and certification across multiple restaurant stations, broadening your skills and maximizing your versatility. Adhering to company policies and procedures is critical to maximize both guest and employee satisfaction while contributing to a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone involved.

Checkers invests in the development of its team members through comprehensive training programs, ensuring everyone attains the skills needed to succeed. The company encourages career growth, offering opportunities to advance within the organization as you demonstrate your commitment and capabilities. In addition to the immediate benefits like flexible scheduling, employee discounts, and shift variety (including day, evening, morning, and night shifts), team members gain eligibility for the Employee Assistance Program on their first day, and 401(k) plan participation after one year of service. Bonuses and other rewards affirm the company’s dedication to recognizing hard work and excellence.

Joining Checkers as a Team Member means becoming part of a culture that values high energy, dedication, and a positive attitude—qualities necessary to keep pace with a fast, customer-focused operation. The company also embraces inclusivity, welcoming individuals with diverse backgrounds, including those with a criminal record, to apply and contribute to the team. The successful candidate will enjoy competitive compensation, a supportive work environment, and a chance to build a fulfilling career in the food service industry.
