The Team Member role at our Jamba Juice locations is integral to our continued success and customer satisfaction. A Team Member is responsible for providing an exceptional and personalized customer experience, preparing and presenting Jamba Juice products following strict brand guidelines, and maintaining the store premises and equipment to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This position involves direct interaction with guests, requiring excellent communication skills, a friendly and enthusiastic demeanor, and a strong focus on delivering consistent quality in both products and service.

As a Team Member, you will be expected to embody Jamba Juice's core values, which include commitment to quality, teamwork, integrity, and a positive attitude. Your responsibilities will also include operating point-of-sale systems efficiently, adhering to food safety, sanitation, and security guidelines, and maintaining store equipment and supplies diligently. Training and development are key components of this role, with the opportunity to complete company policy and store operation programs that will help you master your station and enhance your skills.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 16 years old
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high stress environment
  • Ability to work with agility
  • Ability to work occasional long hours within applicable laws
  • Ability to write simple correspondence in English
  • Ability to communicate effectively with guests and co-workers in English
  • Ability to move freely throughout the store including refrigerators and freezers
  • Ability to test products by taste, color, and smell

Job Qualifications

  • 0-1 years of experience in food service industry or equivalent retail experience
  • Current food handler certification or ability to obtain within first 30 days
  • Basic math and reading skills
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions in English
  • Strong guest focus with excellent people skills
  • Positive can-do attitude
  • Ability to work shifts
  • Ability to develop effective working relationships with co-workers
  • Compliance with health and sanitation laws and regulations
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience with computers, POS systems, and retail handheld devices preferred
  • General knowledge of food industry or retail operations preferred
  • Background in nutrition highly desirable

Job Duties

  • Deliver the ultimate customer service experience and impressions of the Jamba brand
  • Responsible for customer product and service standards
  • Follow all company operations policies and procedures
  • Deliver an exceptional customer in store experience embodying the brand core values
  • Execute quality store operations including cleaning equipment and facilities, stocking supplies, and operating food preparation machinery
  • Respond to directions accurately and timely
  • Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Master station operations
  • Complete company policy trainings successfully
  • Provide a consistent and healthy product by following product specifications and portion control
  • Suggest and upsell products professionally
  • Operate cash register and handle transactions following cash handling policies
  • Serve and provide product samples
  • Set up and break down equipment and supplies for opening and closing
  • Perform cleaning and maintenance as directed
  • Comply with uniform and hygiene standards
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Follow company policies and federal and state regulations including safety and environmental standards
