Job Requirements
- Minimum of 16 years old
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly stressed environment
- Work with agility
- Occasional long hours complying with state and federal laws
- Ability to write simple English correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one and small group settings
- Ability to move freely throughout the store including walk-in refrigerators and freezers
- Ability to test products by taste, color, and smell
- Compliance with all health and sanitation laws and regulations
Job Qualifications
- 0-1 years of experience in the food service industry or equivalent retail experience
- Current food handler certification or ability to obtain it within 30 days
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions in English
- Strong guest focus and excellent people skills
- Positive can-do attitude and quick learner
- Availability to work shifts
- Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
- Compliance with health and sanitation laws and regulations
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience with computers, smartphones, and POS systems preferred
- General knowledge of food industry or retail operations preferred
- Background in nutrition highly desirable
Job Duties
- Deliver the ultimate customer service experience and impressions of the Jamba brand
- Responsible for customer product and service standards
- Follow all company operations policies and procedures
- Embody the brand core values (F.I.B.E.R. and B.O.O.S.T.) at all times
- Execute quality store operations including cleaning blenders, small wares, merchandise and store facilities
- Operate food preparation machinery
- Stock supplies
- Respond to directions timely and accurately
- Adhere to Jamba food, safety and security guidelines
- Master station operations of the store
- Complete Jamba store and company policy trainings
- Consistently make and serve all Jamba products to specifications
- Follow health, safety and sanitation guidelines
- Execute proper portion control
- Suggest and upsell products professionally
- Operate cash register and handle cash transactions
- Operate point-of-sale system efficiently
- Serve and provide samples to guests
- Set up equipment for opening and breakdown for closing
- Perform cleaning and maintenance as required
- Comply with uniform policy and hygiene standards
- Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
- Comply with Fresh Dining Concepts, LLC policies and relevant federal and state regulations including safety and environmental standards, OSHA, EPA, Right to Know, EEO, ADA
