This position as a Team Member at McAlister's Deli is a part-time, hourly role reporting directly to the General Manager or Assistant Manager. The central responsibility is implementing tactics to optimize restaurant sales and cash flow while maintaining strict adherence to quality, cleanliness, and customer service standards. Team Members are charged with managing assigned workstations efficiently, keeping their areas clean and orderly, and supporting the overall restaurant activity according to McAlister's protocols.

The role includes multiple responsibilities such as preparing specific food items, greeting guests warmly, and taking accurate orders. A keen understanding of menu items, their ingredients, and the step-by-step customer service procedure is vital. The Team Member also handles cash control, delivers orders promptly and courteously, and ensures each customer's order is complete and correct. Maintaining cleanliness in the dining area and providing exceptional guest service are crucial daily tasks. Team Members must be quick and accurate in preparing menu items and maintaining product quality, demonstrating a strong commitment to food safety and presentation.

Further, the position demands the ability to communicate effectively with management, corporate staff, fellow employees, and customers, which means excellent oral communication skills are required. It is essential to comply with McAlister's dress and grooming policies and be physically capable of lifting and transporting weights up to 50 pounds. Flexibility with working hours and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods—up to 80-90% of the shift—are necessary physical requirements.
