As a grower-owned cooperative, Blue Diamond has been dedicated to producing premium almond products for decades, serving customers globally with a diverse range of products while nurturing a culture rooted in sustainability and community partnership. The company prides itself on state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities that embrace technological advancements and operational excellence to ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction across all levels.
The available role is a critical leadership position within Blue Diamond's production facilities, responsible for leading teams to consistently meet and exceed key performance indicators in five vital areas: Safety, Quality, Service, Performance, and People. The position operates under a salaried employment structure, with a targeted base salary range between $67,800 and $88,200. The role demands hands-on leadership and effective management skills to plan, organize, staff, direct, and control operations that affect daily production and overall site performance.
This leadership position is integral to driving continuous improvement initiatives and achieving sustainable operations goals, working collaboratively with the Plant Operations Manager to set, communicate, and execute measurable goals that uphold the company’s high standards. The role involves mentoring team leaders, ensuring the team is well-trained, motivated, and equipped to meet productivity and quality expectations, and fostering a culture of zero harm in the facility.
In addition to managing daily production schedules, staffing, and training, the role involves ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality management standards such as GMP, SQF, and SPC. The incumbent is tasked with actively applying recognition and disciplinary measures, promoting one-on-one coaching sessions, leading root cause analyses of operational issues, and encouraging continuous learning and development among team members. The position requires a proactive approach to leadership, a solid understanding of food manufacturing processes, and a determination to drive excellence in performance and safety.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a bachelor's degree and significant experience in team leadership within manufacturing or production environments, especially those familiar with food processing, continuous improvement methodologies like LEAN and TPM, and quality management compliance. Blue Diamond Growers fosters an inclusive, safe, and collaborative workplace that supports career growth and well-being, offering a dynamic environment where leaders can thrive and make a tangible impact.
