The Team Lead position based in Franklin Park, IL, is an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking a dynamic and challenging role within the manufacturing space. This position offers a starting wage ranging from $22.46 to $35.00 per hour plus shift differential, specifically for the night shift running from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am. As a Team Lead, the successful candidate will oversee extrusion machine operations and staff during their shift. Responsibilities include ensuring the smooth setup of extrusion machines by inputting data into computer consoles, setting roll gaps with precision, and maintaining production at the highest quality standards.

The role involves maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and ensuring compliance with safety and quality procedures while meeting productivity standards. This hands-on role requires proficiency in tooling changes, efficient machine setups, and the ability to produce parts that meet or exceed quality specifications. Leadership is a key part of the position, with responsibilities that include assigning workstations to employees, monitoring equipment controls such as vacuums, heat, pressures, and water flow, and holding team members accountable for their performance and participation.

Effective communication and coaching skills are essential, as the Team Lead will provide job performance feedback, conduct counseling when necessary, and handle safety and production-related paperwork. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for a full 12-hour shift, climb stairs, and work in environments with elevated temperatures. The role may also require obtaining forklift certification, emphasizing a need for versatility and adaptability in a fast-paced production environment.
