Zen Educate is a dynamic organization dedicated to supporting educational institutions by connecting them with passionate and skilled paraprofessionals and teaching assistants. With partnerships spanning public and charter schools across multiple school districts, Zen Educate ensures that students with special education needs receive the individualized attention and care they deserve. The company specializes in creating tailored matches between schools and paraprofessionals, facilitating stronger school communities and enhancing the overall learning environment. Known for its commitment to educational excellence, Zen Educate prioritizes timely and smart placements, ensuring that schools have access to qualified staff who can make a meaningful difference in student outcomes.
For the 2026-2027 school year, Zen Educate is actively recruiting Para Educators passionate about supporting students with special needs. These roles are designed for individuals eager to contribute to classroom success by assisting students with a range of special education needs, from mild to severe. The position involves working closely under the guidance of licensed classroom teachers to provide vital support in instructional activities, classroom management, and student engagement. A Para Educator’s role is multifaceted—they are instrumental in facilitating positive interactions among students, assisting with personal care needs, and helping students meet their academic and developmental goals through specialized support. These roles start at the beginning of the school year, with placements reserved on a first-come, first-serve basis, emphasizing the importance of early applications.
This role is ideal for those who have experience or interest in special education, a compassionate approach to working with children, and a willingness to engage in personal care tasks. The positions offer a stable, Monday to Friday schedule within school hours (7:30 am to 3:00 or 4:30 pm), with no weekend work, providing a balanced work-life arrangement. Pay ranges from $18 to $22 per hour, paid weekly, reflecting the importance and dedication required for the role. Zen Educate prioritizes creating an environment where Para Educators can thrive, grow professionally, and make a tangible difference in the lives of the students they support.
Applicants should expect to be physically active during the day, comfortable moving around the classroom, and ready to assist students as needed by lifting up to 20 pounds and responding quickly to situational needs. The organization provides a supportive work environment that values continuous learning and offers opportunities to enhance skills, including crisis prevention, CPR certification, and behavioral support techniques. Para Educators also benefit from paid sick leave and potential eligibility for a 401K plan, underscoring Zen Educate's commitment to employee wellbeing.
In summary, Zen Educate offers a rewarding and impactful career path for those seeking to work in special education support roles. Candidates who join Zen Educate contribute directly to fostering inclusive and supportive classroom environments that empower students with special needs to succeed academically and socially. Those interested are encouraged to apply promptly to secure their placement for the upcoming school year and start a fulfilling journey in education support.
