Job Description

Zen Educate is an innovative technology-driven platform dedicated to connecting schools with exceptional educators in an efficient and transparent manner. The company streamlines the hiring process by matching educators to roles that best fit their skills, preferences, and availability. By simplifying staffing and expanding access to opportunities for educators, Zen Educate is committed to creating a fairer and more effective education system. This approach ensures that schools receive high-quality support staff quickly, ultimately benefiting students and improving learning environments across various educational settings.

With a focus on special education classrooms, Zen Educate is now hiring paraprofessionals and classroom support staff for the 2026-2027 school year. These roles are specifically designed to assist students with specialized needs, providing personalized support that fosters academic growth and social development. Working as a paraprofessional through Zen Educate offers a rewarding opportunity to build valuable skills in the special education field while making a meaningful difference in students’ lives.

This role centers on supporting teachers in delivering tailored instruction and managing classroom dynamics in special needs classrooms. Paraprofessionals assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), reinforcing lessons through one-on-one or small group help, and managing behavior with positive strategies. They also play an essential part in facilitating social interactions among students with disabilities and their peers, promoting inclusivity and confidence. The position demands compassion, patience, and a passion for education—qualities that enable paraprofessionals to create a safe, encouraging, and conducive learning atmosphere.

The role offers competitive pay ranging from $22 to $26 per hour, with weekly payment. Work schedules run Monday through Friday, typically between 7:30 a.m. and either 3:00 p.m. or 4:30 p.m., with no weekend shifts required. This flexibility supports work-life balance while providing a stable employment opportunity. Benefits include paid sick leave and access to a 401K plan subject to eligibility. The ideal candidate is physically comfortable supporting students through mobility, personal care, and classroom engagement, making this an active and dynamic role.

Candidates are required to have completed at least 60 college credits or hold an Associate's Degree, alongside relevant experience in special education and personal care for children with additional needs. Professional proficiency in English and U.S. work authorization are mandatory, as Zen Educate does not sponsor employment visas. Preferred qualifications such as prior school experience, CPR and First Aid certification, and CPI training are advantageous. This comprehensive position is ideal for individuals eager to embark on or advance their careers in education, especially within special education settings. By joining Zen Educate, paraprofessionals become part of a transformative movement aiming to elevate educational support and positively impact student achievement at the foundational level.
