The role of Event Sales at the Little Rock Marriott presents an exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and event management. The primary responsibility of this position is to sell and service events for both in-house groups and external clients, focusing especially on banquet food and beverage sales. This role involves significant interaction with clients to plan menus, set agendas, and coordinate hotel meeting services. An Event Sales professional will also review contracts thoroughly, ensure clear communication between clients and hotel staff before, during, and after events, and facilitate a seamless service experience. Additionally, contributing to site inspections and maintaining strong customer relationships are key aspects of the role. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 2 years in hotel sales
  • At least 1 year food and beverage experience
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Professional appearance
  • Proactive and assertive sales approach
  • Knowledge of market and competitors
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Good time management
  • Effective communication abilities
