The role of Multi-Unit Taproom General Manager at HenHouse Brewing Co. is a pivotal leadership position responsible for overseeing the daily operations of multiple taproom locations across Northern California, including managing off-site events. This full-time, exempt position offers a salary range of $75,000 to $100,000 annually depending on experience, and involves working 40+ hours per week with the flexibility to accommodate weekends and holidays. The General Manager will report directly to the retail director and works closely with lead bartenders, bartenders, vendors, and other internal teams to establish and maintain operational excellence and foster a thriving business atmosphere. Key aspects of the role include staff management across locations, inventory and ordering oversight, event planning, adherence to standard operating procedures, and ensuring an exceptional guest experience consistently. Candidates are expected to demonstrate a deep passion for craft beer, strong leadership and communication abilities, excellent organizational skills, and the flexibility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Job Qualifications

  • 1+ year multi-unit management experience
  • 3+ years experience as general manager or equivalent in taprooms, bars, restaurants
  • 5+ years in the beer, bar, or restaurant industry
  • deep knowledge of general craft beer industry and local craft beer scene
  • strong interpersonal and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Coordinate with the retail director and lead bartenders to implement change, systemize across locations, continually drive standards higher
  • manage staffing, beverage ordering, receiving, daily and weekly accounting, repairs and maintenance, supplies ordering, food truck management, taproom programming, staff education, administrative duties, event planning, management and execution
  • direct management of taproom team personnel including hiring, training, developing, discipline and termination
  • schedule staff across multiple locations including breaks and rest periods
  • set employee performance expectations
  • demonstrate high integrity in interactions and quality of taprooms
  • enforce employee performance expectations
  • identify and commend exemplary behavior
