Job Description

Diversified Restaurant Group (DRG) is a people-first company committed to fostering a vibrant and supportive work environment. Established in 2012 as a 30-unit Taco Bell business, DRG has expanded significantly and now operates over 300 units with multiple brands including Taco Bell restaurants located in California, Kansas, Missouri, and Nevada, as well as Arby’s restaurants in Alaska, California, and Nevada. DRG prides itself on maintaining a unique blend of large company resources with a small company feel, emphasizing family values and strong community bonds among its team members. The company currently employs over 9,000 team members and continues to grow every day, providing numerous career opportunities and an inclusive, engaging workplace culture.

The General Manager plays a pivotal leadership role within DRG, serving as a mentor and guiding their team towards operational success and exceptional customer experiences. This position is essential for achieving maximum profitability by carefully selecting and developing a high-performing team, ensuring consistent training, and providing high-quality food. The General Manager is responsible not only for managing day-to-day operations but also for cultivating a positive company culture that aligns with DRG’s core values. This role demands a strong commitment to operational excellence, financial management, leadership, employee development, and compliance with company policies and local regulations.

As a General Manager at DRG, you will lead by example, fostering an environment of teamwork, inclusivity, and respect while empowering your team to reach their full potential. You will be responsible for overseeing financial performance through effective P&L management, driving cost control strategies to maximize profit margins, and ensuring the restaurant operates at peak efficiency. You will also play a key role in training and developing your team through continual learning initiatives and feedback, helping employees grow into leadership roles. Your leadership style will encourage transparency, trust, and open communication, strengthening the relationship between upper management and your team.

This role requires dedication and flexibility, as it involves working an average of 45 hours per week, including nights, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate must be at least 18 years old, possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, have at least 2 years of restaurant experience with proven leadership skills, and hold a valid SERV Safe Certification along with a current health card in compliance with local health regulations. Additionally, this role requires reliable transportation, a clear criminal background check, and an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).

Working at DRG offers comprehensive benefits designed to support employee well-being and professional development. Employees have access to the DRG Cares Grant Program providing financial assistance during life challenges, exclusive savings discounts through the DRG Savings Marketplace, and supportive services via the Employee Assistance Program. DRG invests in education through scholarships and reimburses for GED programs and second-language education. Additionally, the company offers a DailyPay program allowing employees to access their paychecks daily, fostering financial flexibility. DRG is dedicated to creating an inclusive, fun, and respectful workplace where recognition and team spirit are actively promoted. Join DRG and become part of a dynamic, growing family focused on success, growth, and community.
