GDIT supports some of the most complex programs within Special Operations Forces (SOF) through its ARMA division. This particular opportunity is for a Compliance Systems Administrator specializing in Linux and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems, located onsite in Tampa, Florida. The role is critical in securing and maintaining enterprise-level Linux infrastructure that adheres to Department of War (DoW) cybersecurity standards, playing a vital part in national defense by ensuring the protection of critical operations and infrastructure.

As a Compliance Systems Administrator (Linux / RHEL) at ARMA, the successful candidate will be responsible for hands-on system hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, and identity management across RHEL and Unix-based operating systems. Working primarily on RHEL 8 and 9 systems, this role involves applying and maintaining compliance according to Red Hat Enterprise Linux Defense Information Systems Agency Security Technical Implementation Guides (DISA STIGs), Cyber Tasking Orders, and IAVM notices. The individual will execute system configuration, deploy mandatory access controls using SELinux, and oversee authentication infrastructure using PAM, SSSD, and DoW PKI/CAC mechanisms to ensure secure and compliant user and administrative access.

Additionally, the role requires proficiency in managing host-based firewall configurations, audit daemon logging, and deploying security patches and updates across air-gapped or restricted networks using tools such as YUM, DNF, and Red Hat Satellite. The Compliance Systems Administrator will develop automated solutions, including Bash and Ansible playbooks, to audit and enforce compliance standards consistently. They will also create and maintain documentation of technical mitigation strategies and Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) for Linux vulnerabilities requiring long-term management.

This position demands a proactive approach in compiling technical evidence, OpenSCAP evaluation reports, and configuration artifacts to support audits and inspections by CORA teams. The role is of high importance within the context of national security operations and requires a candidate with hands-on Linux system administration experience, strong familiarity with compliance tools and standards, and commitment to the mission's success.

The job comes with a Secret clearance requirement and offers a competitive salary range of $89,250 to $120,750, depending on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements. The position allows for limited travel, estimated at up to 10%, both within the continental U.S. and outside (CONUS/OCONUS).
