The Product team at Supermicro is currently seeking a skilled System Engineer to join their high-performance group focused on GPU server systems. This role revolves around supporting the development of technical collateral for in-house GPU server products designed to meet the industry's most demanding data center and server requirements. The System Engineer will play a critical role in defining, developing, and implementing emerging technologies in system architecture and application benchmarking. Responsibilities include creating technical presentations and proof-of-concept demonstrations to highlight the unique features of Supermicro's products at industry events, serving as an expert resource to product managers and engineering teams regarding GPU and networking/DPU systems. This role requires in-depth technical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in system architecture, debugging, and collaborative product development across departments. The ideal candidate will contribute actively to product innovation, support customer-facing initiatives with onsite visits, and drive technical automation efforts to optimize validation workflows.

Offering a competitive salary range from $90,000 to $110,000 annually, the compensation will be determined based on several individual factors including experience, education, skills, location, and alignment with existing employees in similar roles. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in system/server architecture development and debugging
  • Strong knowledge of computer architecture and server technologies
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to travel 20% for customer support
  • Familiarity with GPU and cloud computing technologies preferred

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Identify and analyze root causes of system failures, provide prompt internal responses to product development and support, collaborate with sales and product teams to refine product requirements, engage in cross-functional project work with engineering and sales, automate validation tests using scripting skills, provide on-site customer support with 20% travel, create technical presentations and proof of concepts for GPU server products
