- Successful completion of company sushi chef training program
- prior experience as sushi chef highly desirable
- culinary degree is a plus
- completion of food handling training as required by local laws

Job Duties
- Welcome and greet guests at the sushi bar
- prepare a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, and vegetables using broilers, ovens, grills, and fryers
- respond promptly and courteously to guest requests
- ensure guest satisfaction with quality of food and service
- perform opening and closing duties including cleaning sushi bar and kitchen equipment
- follow guidelines on food preparation, portioning, quality, and safety
- maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, counters, and storage areas
- report equipment or maintenance issues promptly
- ensure proper food presentation and garnishing
- handle ready-to-eat raw food safely
- adhere to public health safety regulations
- utilize knives and kitchen tools effectively
- keep head sushi chef informed of inventory and defective products
- maintain neat appearance and engage guests courteously
- notify manager immediately in case of guest dissatisfaction or accidents
- follow company alcoholic beverage service policies
- assist colleagues with sushi preparation
- participate in special occasion celebrations
- engage in guest photos upon management request
- perform additional duties as assigned
